Erwyn Mackee – President & Founder

With 15 years of experience in prime real estate development in London, Marbella and Dubai, Erwyn came to Latin America in 2018 chasing the next property hotspot and fell in love with Casco Viejo, Panamá.

Upon arriving in Panamá City, Erwyn secured a deal on one of the most prestigious hotels in the city- Villa Palma Boutique Hotel. Within 6 months of opening, Villa Palma achieved the highest occupancy levels in the city at over 90%, as well as becoming the highest rated hotel in the city (Expedia Feb 2020).

Erwyn holds a first class honours degree in International Securities Investment & Banking from the University of Reading, as well as a law degree from The University of Law London.

His award winning personal property development portfolio has been featured in The Telegraph and The Express national newspapers in the UK.

Erwyn is a director of the British Chamber of Commerce Panamá.

Laura Pachon – Director, Treasurer

Laura is an advertising executive with 10 years of experience working in data handling and strategy for the international clients of one of Colombia’s top digital marketing firms, helping it to expand into Central America by setting up their Panamá office.

She graduated from Central University in Bogotá with a degree in advertising and gained a masters degree in Digital Marketing Management from Esden Business School.

Joel Castro – Country Manager; General Manager, The San Felipe Hotel

Joel launched Villa Palma Boutique Hotel for Casco Capital, endlessly seeking perfection and the ultimate in relaxation and luxury for its discerning guests.

He has management experience at three other 5* hotels in Panamá as well as working in F&B for renowned international chefs in Madrid and Latin America.

Joel gained undergraduate degrees in marketing and management from Universidad Tecnologica del Centro in Venezuela, in addition to an MBA from Universidad Latina De Panamá.

Arcenio Beker – Manager, Gran Bahia

Arcenio was born in Bocas del Toro and has studied in the USA as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Panama City in tourism and business. In addition, he has 10 years of experience in Casco Viejo hotels, including in Villa Palma.

Always willing to take on new challenges, Arcenio will be launching Gran Hotel Bahia and reinvigorating and updating it, ready for the new phase of its history.

Xavier Moscoso – Director, Legal

Xavier has 10 year of experience in commercial private and public Panamanian law, with expert and intricate knowledge of the complex Casco Viejo real estate market.

Carlos Molina – Manager, Casa Rosales

Carlos is originally from Medellín and has 20 years of experience in the local hospitality industry. Versatile and dependable, he brings positivity and energy to Casa Rosales, the staff and the guests.

Through hard work and dedication, Carlos has developed the hotel into successful and busy hotel, despite challenging times.

Ian Palmer – Consultant

Ian has been involved in real estate since 2005, managing a prime branch of London’s largest estate agent firm. He has sourced properties for domestic and international clients, well known celebrities and leaders of business and has managed several full rebuild construction projects.

Ian has a degree in psychology but his passion is flying- he is a qualified pilot and instructor and teaches flying in his spare time.
